Our Computing curriculum is rooted in our belief in rigorous, knowledge-rich education delivered within a loving, nurturing environment. It is an academic subject that develops computational thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, enabling children not just to use technology, but to understand how it works and how it can be shaped.
We aim to ensure that all pupils:
- grasp the core principles of computer science (such as algorithms, logic, data representation) and apply them through programming and problem analysis.
- become confident, creative, and ethical users of technology — using digital tools to express themselves, collaborate, and learn.
- understand how to use technology safely and responsibly in an ever-changing digital world.Â
Through this, Computing at Warkworth will help children think deeper about the world, become confident in their digital lives, and flourish as curious, resilient learners.
Our Computing lead is Mrs F Morris.
