At our school, Geography is taught to inspire children’s curiosity and fascination about the world and the people who live in it. We aim to help pupils develop a secure understanding of their local area, the wider United Kingdom, and the diverse world beyond.

Through Geography, children will:

  • Build knowledge of places, people, resources, and natural and human environments.
  • Learn how physical and human processes shape our world.
  • Develop skills in map reading, fieldwork, enquiry, and observation.
  • Ask and answer geographical questions with confidence.
  • Appreciate the importance of caring for our planet and becoming responsible global citizens.

Our intent is that all pupils leave primary school with a strong sense of place, an awareness of their role in the world, and a curiosity to continue exploring Geography in the next stage of their education.

Our Geography lead is Mrs H Stuart.
